Unearthed is an ongoing project by current artist in residence Pamela Sloan, who buries paper in symbolic locations, allowing the soil erosion to transform the paper. Once removed from the soil, Pam determines whether and how to modified what remains.

Click on the button below for a selection of the prints that Pam created at White Oak Savanna this past April.  Each print is a composite image of photos from both the farm and the unearthed papers used in her art.  They are archival giclee print on 100% cotton velvet fine art paper.  Signed "limited editions" (LE) of 10 per image will ensure that they retain and hopefully increase in value.  "Artist Proofs" (AP), while signed, will cost less and might be considerably smaller.

Please contact Pam at pamsloanart@gmail.com  to purchase, or ask questions.  She will relay possible payment methods via email.

Jonas has agreed to deliver prints to those he sees regularly.  Shipping is also possible, and typically runs $5-$10 dollars.

If there was one you don't see here, let her know.

*30% of all purchases will be donated to The Savanna Sactuary.

Pam Sloan

As an artist who is deeply inspired by the natural world, my work is an exploration of the interdependence between all living things and their environment. I seek to create art that not only captures the beauty and complexity of the natural world but also reflects the urgent need to protect it. Presently, Pam’s work is branching underground merging lifeforms from soil into her art via weathered paper.

Pam Sloan is an artist with prior careers in architecture and education.  She holds BFA, MA, and MEd degrees.
